Enrollment and Registration
Eligibility Requirements

Registration Process
Course registration requires completion of our enrollment form, payment of applicable fees, and acceptance of these terms. Registration is complete only upon receipt of payment and written confirmation from Global Communication Academy.
Course Availability
Course schedules and availability are subject to change based on enrollment numbers, instructor availability, and operational requirements. We reserve the right to cancel courses with insufficient enrollment and will provide full refunds in such cases.
Payment Terms and Refund Policy
Payment Requirements
Course fees must be paid in full before the start of classes unless alternative payment arrangements have been made. We accept various payment methods including bank transfers, credit cards, and approved financing options.
Refund Policy
Our refund policy is designed to be fair to both students and the academy:
- Full refund if withdrawal occurs more than 7 days before course start
- 75% refund if withdrawal occurs within 7 days of course start but before first class
- 50% refund if withdrawal occurs within the first week of classes
- 25% refund if withdrawal occurs within the second week of classes
- No refund for withdrawal after the second week of classes
Special Circumstances
Refunds may be considered for medical emergencies, family emergencies, or other extraordinary circumstances at the discretion of the administration. Documentation may be required to support such requests.
Academic Policies
Attendance Requirements
Regular attendance is essential for language learning success. Students are expected to attend at least 80% of scheduled classes to receive certification. Excessive absences may result in dismissal from the program without refund.
Academic Integrity
Students are expected to maintain the highest standards of academic honesty. Prohibited activities include:
- Plagiarism in assignments or assessments
- Cheating during examinations or evaluations
- Falsifying academic records or documentation
- Unauthorized collaboration on individual assignments
- Misrepresentation of language proficiency levels
Assessment and Certification
Students must complete all required assessments and meet minimum performance standards to receive certification. Certificates are awarded based on demonstrated competency and successful completion of course requirements.

Disciplinary Actions
Violations of the code of conduct may result in warnings, suspension, or dismissal from programs depending on the severity and frequency of violations.
Intellectual Property Rights
Academy Materials
All course materials, including textbooks, digital content, videos, audio recordings, and assessments, are the intellectual property of Global Communication Academy or our licensed content providers. Students may use these materials solely for their personal educational purposes.
Prohibited Uses
Students may not:
- Reproduce, distribute, or sell academy materials
- Share login credentials or course access with unauthorized individuals
- Record classes or sessions without explicit permission
- Use materials for commercial purposes
- Modify or create derivative works from academy content
Student Work
Students retain ownership of their original work created during courses, while granting the academy limited rights to use such work for educational and promotional purposes with appropriate attribution.
Technology Usage and Acceptable Use
Platform Access
Students receive access to our learning management system and online platforms for the duration of their enrollment. Access credentials are personal and non-transferable.
Technical Requirements
Students are responsible for ensuring they have adequate technology and internet connectivity to participate in online components of their courses. Minimum technical requirements are provided before enrollment.
Prohibited Activities
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to academy systems
- Uploading malicious software or viruses
- Engaging in activities that disrupt platform functionality
- Using platforms for non-educational purposes
- Violating any applicable laws or regulations
Privacy and Data Protection

Dispute Resolution

We encourage students to first attempt to resolve any disputes through our internal complaint and grievance procedures. Our student services team is available to address concerns and work toward mutually satisfactory solutions.
Mediation
If internal resolution is unsuccessful, disputes may be resolved through mediation using a mutually agreed-upon mediator before pursuing other legal remedies.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and any legal proceedings shall be conducted in the appropriate courts of Sri Lanka.
Termination of Services
Student-Initiated Termination
Students may withdraw from programs subject to our refund policy and notification requirements. Formal withdrawal procedures must be followed to ensure proper academic record maintenance.
Academy-Initiated Termination
We reserve the right to terminate a student's enrollment for:
- Violation of academic integrity policies
- Repeated violations of the code of conduct
- Non-payment of fees
- Excessive absences without valid justification
- Behavior that disrupts the learning environment
Effect of Termination
Upon termination, students lose access to academy facilities, online platforms, and services. Academic records up to the point of termination will be maintained according to our retention policies.
Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms of Use periodically to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. Significant changes will be communicated to enrolled students through:
